There's just over a month to go until the motoring world strap on their berets and descend on France for the Paris Motor Show.

More and more information about what will be on show is coming to light, with a range of new and exciting production vehicles and concept cars ready to make their international debut.

Usually it's the concept cars getting all the press at the motor shows, but this year the production cars look set to shine.

Here are three production cars ready to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show that are well worth a closer look.

Skoda Kodiaq:

A new Skoda means another new name to wrap your tongue around. The 'Skoda Kodiaq' (pronounced: ko-diak, after the Alaskan Kodiak bear) is set for it's first public debut in Paris.

The roomy seven-seater, sitting above the Skoda Yeti, is set to take on some of our favourite SUVs including the Mazda CX-9, Kia Sorento and Holden Captiva.

The Kodiaq includes a surround-view camera (which offers a birds-eye view of your car to make reverse parking a breeze), and a 720L boot, making it a safe and spacious family option.

Orders for the car will begin being taken shortly after the Paris show, with deliveries expected down-under in mid-2017.

Expected price: AU$39,000.

BMW X2:

BMW have taken the sportiness of a hatchback, and the power and security of an SUV, to come up with a new 'coupe-SUV' that encompasses the best of both worlds.

Set to be publicly revealed for the first time in October, the BMW X2 is expected to go head-to-head in sales with the second-gen Mini Countryman (coming 2017) and the Range Rover Evoque.

The new BMW model is expected to be on sale in Australia toward the second half of 2017, with a price-tag of approximately AU$51,000.

Hyundai i30:

The release of the newest Hyundai i30 is still shrouded in secrey, with the brand only releasing a select few snaps of the model. But from the glimpses of the hexagonal front grille (similar to the brands Ioniq model) and vertical LED daytime running lights, we already like what we see.

The information available about the car extends only to there being 5-door hatchback, 5-door estate, and 4-door coupe models available, and that there will be an option of either a petrol or diesel engine.

The rest of the information including interior styling, and what's under the hood, we will have to wait patiently for.

Until October Paris. Au revoir.

The Paris Motor Show opens for press on the 29th of September, and to the public from the 1st of October.
