The Geneva Motor Show kicked off this week, with new releases from all of the biggest car brands from across the globe. We picked our Top 3 which we think will be some of the most talked about models of 2017.

Ferrari 812 Superfast

Never one to mince words, the Italian motor company have come out with all guns blazing in 2017. As they celebrate their 70th anniversary, Ferrari's newest unveiling, the '812 Superfast', certainly looks the part plus it has the stats to back it up. Promising "thrilling top-end performance", the Superfast can hit 100km/h in only 2.9 seconds and boasts a top speed of 340km/h, with what Ferrari is calling "the most powerful engine we have ever designed". It’s also relatively light, weighing 1,525kg but also having lightweight optional extras available.
Prices are as yet unavailable, but don’t expect a discounted price on this one.

Volkswagen Arteon

A noticeably sleeker and more sportier look from Volkswagen, with the unveiling of their new Arteon model. With 5-doors and an impressive 276 horsepower, the Arteon is set to take on BMW’s 4 Series Gran Coupe, chasing those who are after an everyday car with more than just a few extra creature comforts.  It also comes complete with a sporty front grille, and a 'character line' which runs from the headlights, down the sides of the car to the tail lights – which makes the Arteon as nice to look at as it is to drive.
Expect to be paying around $65,000 when it becomes available in the latter part of this year.

Range Rover Velar

The ultimate Soccer Mum car for those who want to look nothing like a Soccer Mum. The Range Rover Velar set tongues wagging upon it’s release this week. Debuting in an all-metal finish, the Velar boasts a triple touchscreen in the centre console, controlling everything from music, to your phone, to the heater. It also has a 632L boot capacity (1,731 when the back seats are folded down), and an environmentally conscious (and rubber burning) 0-100km/h speed of 8.4 seconds – but CO2 emissions of just 142g/km (the average emissions for light vehicles sold in Australia is 188g/km).
This ultimate SUV is set to cost approximately $70,000, but be prepared to pay a bit more if you want some luxurious extras.
