Motor Vehicle Stamp Duty in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is derived from the dutiable value and Green Vehicle Rating of a car or other vehicle. The dutiable value of your vehicle is the retail selling price of the vehicle plus any amount paid for optional features.
The Stamp Duty payable for new vehicles, with a Green Vehicle Rating is calculated using the tables below. Used vehicles, or vehicles with no Green Vehicle Rating, calculate stamp duty at the same rate as C-rated motor vehicles in the table below.
