Stratton Finance was established by Rob Chaloner in 1998, operating out of a small office at the rear of a Melbourne Land Rover dealership.
The one-person operation initially relied on referrals from the dealership, but word of mouth quickly spread and Stratton's growth meant the company soon started employing assistants to help meet the demand, moving to new offices in Albert Park in 2000.
Strong growth continued over the following years, with Stratton establishing itself as one of Australia's leading car finance brokers as well as greatly expanding the range of services offered to its clients. In 2005 the company expanded its local presence into Queensland with the opening of a new office in Brisbane.
2007 has seen the continuation of Stratton's rapid growth, with its head office moving to new state-of-the-art facilities in South Melbourne.
Today, Stratton employs more than 30 people and writes over $100,000,000 in motor vehicle finance and equipment finance contracts per annum. From humble beginnings as a small car finance broker, Stratton now offers a complete range of finance solutions for cars, boats, equipment and property, as well as a car insurance and a range of other services, available all over Australia.
