.NET Developer (C#)
Stratton Finance has a great opportunity for a .NET developer who values high quality code and wants to work with a business that is serious about programming.
In this role you will work on a diverse range of development projects, including one of Australia's largest automotive finance websites, sophisticated internal systems to support our business, and websites for a number of interesting side projects outside of the finance industry.
You will be working at a business that defines itself through the smart and efficient use of technology. In a traditionally old-fashioned industry we do things differently, and our development team plays a critical role in our success.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications with a focus on OOP (i.e. Computer Science or Software Development degree).
- 2+ years full-time experience developing websites and business applications using the .NET Framework.
- Comfortable discussing at least some of the following three-letter acronyms in an interview: TDD, SQL, IOC, ORM, DDD, CSS, OOP, SEO, XSS, MVC.
- A portfolio - we will need to see code that you have written and that you consider to be of a high standard. Please do not supply code when applying - this will be requested at a later stage.
Further Details:
We currently build our websites and business apps using:
- ASP.NET Web Forms
- C#
- CSS
- Javascript (JQuery)
- Microsoft SQL Server
- NHibernate
- NUnit + Rhino Mocks
- NInject

The ideal candidate will also bring something a bit different to our development team. Maybe you're an expert at MVC, have an eye for visual design, or love building mobile apps - here's a chance to bring your own skills and ideas into our growing team.
We strive for continuous delivery which means that you will be deploying live three or more times per week. To achieve this goal you will have access to a suite of JetBrains tools include Resharper, TeamCity, DotCover, DotTrace and YouTrack.
You will be joining a young IT team in a medium-sized company with a relaxed-but-professional small business culture. This is an environment where enthusiasm, talent and real results are appreciated, and where you will be given the opportunity to learn and expand your skills. Flexi-time and the option of working from home on occasion are available.
Most of all, a love of programming is essential!
