This is the first time I have applied for finance for a private sale (I've previously either paid cash when buying privately or purchased through a dealer) and I have been most impressed not only with James' knowledge of the process, but also his patience and willingness to keep me informed each step of the way. The vehicle I am buying is also located about 4 hours from where I live, so I wanted to keep the number of trips I needed to make to a minimum, and also finalise the sale quite quickly. I completed my finance application on Monday (already having the vehicle I wanted to buy in mind) and received a phone call from James the same day to advise it had been approved. I then organised to test drive the car on Wednesday evening after work and committed to buying it, completed all paperwork etc on Thursday and will be picking up the vehicle tomorrow (Saturday). The seller has obviously also been extremely helpful with getting all of the necessary photos, documents and reports lodged quickly from his end, but I give most of the credit to James for organising everything so well and so rapidly, and making sure both myself and the seller were aware of exactly what we needed to do at each stage of the sale process. James also organised used vehicle warranty for me. I was not previously aware that any kind of warranty was available on a privately sold used vehicle, and is an excellent boost to my peace of mind - I was originally intending to buy a brand new 4WD until I found a 2 year old model with a number of the modifications I want already done, and forgoing warranty was one of my misgivings about choosing to buy the used vehicle. This is now one less thing I need to worry about. This will be the fourth vehicle I have owned, and it has been by far the simplest and fastest to purchase. Even when buying my previous car from a dealership there was a much longer delay between lodgement of my finance application to collection of the vehicle, and I have rarely come across such wonderful customer service. I would rate my overall experience with Stratton Finance, and especially James De Ruiter, as absolutely fantastic, and fully intend to recommend your business to any friends and relatives looking for vehicle finance in the future. - Yoko R
